You are a hit!

Just wanted to let you know about the great feedback I received about your PG presentation.

Thanks again!

— Deborah Rothstein, J.D., Vice President for Development, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving

In Deborah’s seminar on Endowment Development and Planned Giving, she uses props and “fake assets” to provide audiences with a better understanding of various giving options. In this photograph, Angela Powers, Senior Vice President, Planning and Operations, at the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven, reads her “will” dressed in a boa and wearing stunning jewelry.

Dr. Polivy uses interactive workshops and case studies to involve stakeholders and help them understand not only good practices in fund raising, but also how various giving techniques operate and are appropriate for individual donors.  In creating a consultation plan, she works with decision makers of organizations in order to specifically identify the needs of the latter and she will frequently create a team of experts to help address those issues.

She provides the following services.

  • Board training on endowment development and overall fund raising strategies
  • Creation and implementation of fund raising plans
  • Readiness assessment  and preparation for planned giving, endowment and capital campaigns including the carrying out of feasibility studies
  • Review of fund raising departments including policies and procedures with recommendations for change along with timetables for implementation and ongoing coaching if requested
  • Mentoring of fund raising professionals
  • Facilitation of board and/or staff retreats
